Effective Date: February 12, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the PressGo WordPress plugin (“PressGo,” “the Plugin”). By installing or using PressGo, you agree to these Terms.
1. What PressGo Does
PressGo is a free, open-source WordPress plugin that generates Elementor landing pages from text descriptions using AI. The plugin connects to external services (described below) to function.
2. Your API Key
PressGo requires an Anthropic (Claude) API key that you provide. You are responsible for:
- Obtaining and maintaining your own API key from Anthropic
- All costs associated with your API usage
- Keeping your API key secure
- Complying with Anthropic’s Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy
PressGo does not store, transmit, or have access to your API key beyond your local WordPress installation.
3. External Services
PressGo connects to two external services:
- wp.pressgo.app — Retrieves AI instruction configuration. No user data is sent.
- api.anthropic.com — Sends your prompt (and optional image) to generate page content using your API key.
No data is sent to either service until you explicitly click the Generate button.
4. Generated Content
Pages generated by PressGo are yours. You own all content created using the plugin. Generated pages use standard Elementor elements and are fully editable.
PressGo does not claim any rights over content you create with the plugin. However, AI-generated content may be subject to Anthropic’s usage policies regarding the Claude API output.
5. No Warranty
PressGo is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The plugin will be error-free or uninterrupted
- Generated pages will meet your specific requirements
- The external services will always be available
- AI-generated content will be accurate or appropriate for your use case
You are responsible for reviewing and editing all generated content before publishing.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PressGo and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the plugin.
7. License
PressGo is licensed under the GNU General Public License v2 or later (GPLv2+). You may use, modify, and distribute the plugin in accordance with this license. The full license text is available at gnu.org/licenses/gpl-2.0.html.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the plugin after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
